Juventus have decided to change their minds about the future of German midfielder Sami Khedira, who was close to leaving the club.
The German international was expected to leave, especially after the Bianconeri completed the signing of Aron Ramsey from Arsenal in a free transfer as well as Adrian Rabio.
The Italian sports network Sky Sport said that Khedira is no longer on the market after being impressed by coach Maurizio Sarri.
She added that the former Napoli and Chelsea coach praised Khedira, who adapted well to his ideas and showed great quality.
Juventus last year extended their contract until 2022 but have been linked with a move out of the interest of many clubs, particularly Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Therefore, it is likely that French midfielder Blaise Matuidi will be the player to leave the Juventus midfield this month.
Juventus coach Mauricio Sarri talked about the players expected to leave during the summer transfer, led by Argentine Paulo Dybala.
Juventus lost this evening to Atletico Madrid 2-2 in the International Champions Cup.
“I am somewhat satisfied with the performance, especially in the first half and against a team in better physical shape than us, but we should not give up the second goal,” Sarri said after the game.
“Sometimes I am surprised to read about my options. We have to exclude six players from the Champions League squad.
Speaking of the market, he said, “We have to resolve this situation which is not related to the decisions of the coach or management, Dybala? “He has only had two training sessions and he shouldn’t be at his highest physical level. He is a great player who can play at No. 9, but we have to figure out how to fill that position.”
“I can talk to Dybala with love, but the market is moving in one direction and opinion in another. I like the survival of all players but we cannot do that.”
